Layla Said Nothing. is an Afghan Romanian American who started writing poems at the age of six in Long Island, New York. Since, she has published a catalog of music and is set to release her first book in 2024. She believes in honoring her family’s maternal tradition of poetry as an act of political service.
Layla spends her time in Denver, Colorado working for the local homeless initiative. Her work educating the public on homelessness has been featured in on FOX31, 9News, Denver7, Axios, The Colorado Sun, CBS, and Westword.
